Dear Students, Families and Friends,

We are quickly drawing to the close of Term 1.  The school will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 8, re-opening on Jan. 9, 2017.  Thank you for making term one amazing.  2017 will see the start of the celebrations for our 60th Anniversary!!  My dad, Joseph Lippert, would be so proud to have been here to celebrate in this milestone.  He is missed.

We wanted to share with you some important information.  If you are receiving this note via email, please stop by the office to pick up your envelope.  Enclosed, please find:

  4. Theory Class information

Winter is upon us and we kindly ask for you to bring indoor shoes for the school, removing you boots at the entry.  We also ask all of our students to please check in with reception when they arrive.

Upcoming Events:

  1. Festival – first weekend in March
  2. Recital – first two Sundays in June
  3. SummerFest – first Saturday in June

Thank you to all of the students who participated in the WinterFest performance for the Pape Village BIA on Sat., Dec. 3 at Bethany Baptist Church.  After that, Lippert’s had the honour of being mentioned in the House of Commons in Ottawa by our MP, Julie Dabrusin.  Please look at the link

This event was also attended by our city councillor Mary Fragedakis.  All levels of government in our area are amazing supporter of the arts.

Recital 2015

Highlight of the year for Lippert Students.  Join us June 13th and 14th 2015, as we showcase the accomplishments of all of our students.

Welcome our newest addition to our teaching staff, Angela Schwarzkopf (harp, piano)

Angela Schwarzkopf (harp, piano). The newly appointed President of the Toronto Chapter of the American Harp Society, Angela Schwarzkopf is the first harpist to pursue a Doctorate of Music in Harp Performance in Canada. She is a featured soloist and chamber musician at prestigious harp events throughout Canada and the U.S. Angela is a chamber coach and teaching assistant at the University of Toronto, and adjudicates recitals at the Glenn Gould School of Music. An active freelance musician, Angela frequently joins Orchestra London and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. Recently, she has also performed at Stratford Festival, with the Talisker Players, and with numerous choirs in Southern Ontario. Away from the harp she is a regular contributor to the international publication, Harp Column.
